Employee Career Planning

Careers don't happen, they are made. Many employees wait for something to happen to their careers rather than looking ahead to where they want to go in the organization and then developing an effective plan to get there. When employees do not actively involve themselves in setting and managing their career goals, both they and their organizations experience a loss of momentum and commitment. The goal of this workshop is to help participants get control of their futures and manage the process of getting there. It works with participants to:

• Identify their current strengths, weaknesses and accomplishments
• Assess their short and long term career goals
• Develop a list of developmental needs for achieving their goals
• Lay out an action plan for getting there
• Commit to, execute and steward that plan

This one day facilitated workshop combines presentation, discussion, group and individual work. Participants will receive worksheets and handouts that they can take with them to help continue with their self-assessments, goal planning and execution immediately after completing the workshop.
